I have justified so many purchases because I didn’t want to deprive our girls. I didn’t want to make them suffer for our choices so I’d say yes to small purchases because at least then I didn’t have to feel bad about saying ‘no’ yet again 🙈 Whether it was extra ‘treats’ at the store, a toy that wasn’t planned for, or just spontaneous purchases that we did not have the money for, I realized that I was perpetuating the problem I also didn’t want to pass on! God has been teaching me about finding my rest and’enough’ in Him and to have gratitude for all of my blessings so these tough moments are now becoming teaching opportunities to show my girls how we can always choose our lens in how we see the world- scarcity or abundance.
