IMF economist Gita Gopinath has warned that rising oil prices could slow global economic growth. She said if crude oil averages around $85 per barrel in 2026, global growth could drop by 0.3 to 0.4 percentage points. Higher oil prices may also push global inflation up by about 60 basis points, adding pressure on economies worldwide. The warning comes amid Middle East tensions that are disrupting global oil supply and markets. #GitaGopinath #OilPrices #GlobalEconomy #Inflation #economicnews Gita Gopinath oil price warning global growth slowdown, $85 crude impact inflation global economy 2026, Middle East tensions oil supply disruption economic impact, IMF economist global inflation rise forecast, oil prices economic slowdown analysis _________________________________________________________ India Abroad® - For Indians Abroad 📌 All footage is used under Fair Use for commentary and educational purposes. 📌 This video is NOT sponsored and is created for informative purposes. _________________________________________________________ Catch all the latest news videos here on "India Abroad® ".
