Buying stocks in your TFSA is the couch potato approach to building assets. Nothing wrong with that. But where's the leverage play? You can't control much in a TFSA beyond the investments you pick. With real estate, I control the financing, the property type, the neighbourhood, and the renovations that get me the lift I'm looking for. I can't control everything in real estate. I control a lot more than I would buying stocks. That's why I love it.
