Beautiful Women taken by cancer.

A short film to help raise awareness of Cancer. I have focused on cancers women get, with an emphasis on breast cancer. The recent deaths in 2009, of Wendy Richard from Breast Cancer and then Jade Goody from Cervical cancer, have served to highlight the importance of self-awareness of your body. We cannot function without you ladies, so please look after yourselves as you should, and if you feel something is not right, or you notice a lump, discomfort, discharge, strange smells or blood in your urine or stools, then please get medical advice right away. So many beautiful women have died of this horrible nightmare, it's time we found a cure. If we all do a little more to help cancer charities, we will make strides toward that beautiful day when cancer is a thing of the past. A few people have been lucky, with Farah Fawcett and Kylie Minogue having Colon and Breast Cancer respectively, and both in remission, but others are not so lucky. NEVER ignore a call or letter to attend a screening or smear, not matter how busy your life is. I'm sure you'd rather have a couple of hours inconvenience, than being told you only have weeks to live, and we've seen recently how quickly this thing can turn from a scare to a funeral. I do not own the copyright to the pictures in this video, but given what they are being used for, I am sure I can be forgiven, and I feel pretty sure the subjects wouldn't mind, if there's a chance to save even one life by making someone realise how important this thing is! The music is my own composition. I used it because it tells a tale of no matter how awful things get, there's always hope, and no matter how bleak things look, there's the possibility of that beautiful day. I also know if I'd used someone else's music (I wanted to use 'As the years go passing by, by Albert King) I would have been made to take the video down. BREAST CANCER: Symptoms You Can See or Feel * Swelling or lump (mass) in the breast * Swelling in the armpit (lymph nodes) * Nipple discharge (clear or bloody) * Pain in the nipple * Inverted (retracted) nipple * Scaly or pitted skin on nipple * Persistent tenderness of the breast * Unusual breast pain or discomfort. Some Symptoms of Advanced (Metastatic) Breast Cancer Stage 4, or metastatic breast cancer is the most advanced stage of this disease. Metastatic breast cancer is defined as having spread beyond the breast and underarm lymph nodes into other parts of the body. * Bone pain (bone metastases) * Shortness of breath (lung metastases) * Drop in appetite (liver metastases) * Unintentional weight loss (liver metastases) * Headaches, neurological pain or weakness (could be brain metastases) Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) Aggressive and Unusual Symptoms One type of breast cancer that does not appear in lumps is called inflammatory breast cancer (IBC). This aggressive cancer grows in sheets instead of lumps, and it invades nearby skin, resembling a rash. It will not respond to topical creams or antibiotics, and should be treated very promptly. Symptoms: * A sudden increase in mature breast size (as much as a cup size in a few days) * Itching in the skin of the breast that is continuous and not relieved by pills or creams * A change in the breast skin colour, resulting in pink, red, or dark-coloured areas * Breast is excessively warm to the touch, or harder or firmer than usual * Unusual pain, which occurs out of the regular cycle * Sometimes a change in skin texture, similar to the skin of an orange * Breast skin ulcers (later stage IBC) Cervical Cancer: Here is a list of some of the common signs and symptoms of Cervical Cancer: Abnormal bleeding Abnormal Pap smear Abnormal vaginal bleeding Asymptomatic in early stages Bladder symptoms Blood in stool Blood in urine Bowel symptoms Genital lesions Pain during intercourse Painful sex Pelvic pain Unusual vaginal bleeding Unusual vaginal discharge Vaginal bleeding Vaginal discharge Vaginal discharge containing blood Vaginal odour Of course, these are just some of the common symptoms of Cervical Cancer.
