China is a highly unequal country. There are many reasons for this, ranging from a lack of social services to a lack of social mobility. She has been the chief economist for Asia-Pacific at French investment bank Natixis and adjunct Professor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and Sunyatsen University and she joined insurance company AGEAS as an independent board member.
