RISE Lecture Series -- Nobel Laureate William F. Sharpe (Stanford University)
On March 8th, 2018 RISE hosted Nobel Laureate in Economics William F. Sharpe to give a lecture on "Financing Retirement: Social Security, Public Pensions and Defined Contribution Plans" in the Shepard School of Music Stude Concert Hall at Rice University. The Rice Initiative for the Study of Economics (RISE) was established to create an environment for research and teaching that will enhance the role of Rice University as one of the leading institutions in the world for the study of economics.
About William F. Sharpe
William Forsyth Sharpe is an American economist. He is the STANCO 25 Professor of Finance, Emeritus at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, and the winner of the 1990 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.
