US-German Forum Future Agriculture: Interview with Annika Thies
Annika Thies is a research associate at the Thünen Institute for Market Analysis, in Braunschweig, Germany. Her research interests are in meat consumption patterns and food loss and waste. We had the chance to chat with Annika about how the U.S.-German #ForumFutureAgriculture aligns with her research. The U.S.-German Forum Future Agriculture brings together U.S. and German farmers and other agriculture stakeholders to promote transatlantic dialogue on common challenges for the field of agriculture and rural regions and pave the way for a more sustainable agriculture future. The 2024 cohort of the project has focused on the core topic of the digital transformation of dairy and beef farming. The project brought together arable farmers from northern Germany and the U.S. Northeast.
