Strategy Guideyoutube

Day 82 of this Investing Challenge. Today started off looking like the market was ready to rally... but by the end of the day, the momentum faded. For most investors, that's frustrating. For this investing challenge, it's another opportunity. We're investing in VTI (Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF) using a strategy called Averaging Down, which is designed to take advantage of temporary market pullbacks. The rules are simple: - Invest $100 at the start of every trading day (or whatever amount fits your budget, even $5 is a great place to start) - Invest another $100 whenever the market dips By buying additional shares on red days, we're lowering our average cost per share and positioning ourselves for potentially stronger gains when the market recovers. Why This Strategy Works Over the last five trading days, we've consistently taken advantage of every meaningful dip in VTI. If the market rebounds, those discounted purchases should outperform simply investing the same amount once a month. The goal isn't to predict the perfect bottom. It's to stay consistent, remove emotion from investing, and let time and compound growth work in your favor. Why I Invest in VTI VTI tracks the entire U.S. stock market, giving you exposure to thousands of companies in one low-cost ETF. Instead of trying to pick winning stocks, I'm investing in the long-term growth of the U.S. economy. Want to Invest Alongside Me? One of the best places to use a long-term strategy like this is inside a Roth IRA, where your investments have the potential to grow tax-free. If you haven't opened one yet, I made a step-by-step tutorial showing exactly how to open a Roth IRA in Fidelity. Subscribe for regular updates about how to make your money work for you.
